Why This Site Exists
When I first started integrating AI models into my projects, I spent hours hunting down where each provider hid their API key page. OpenAI has it under "API Keys" in the platform. Anthropic buries it in the Console. Google has two different paths depending on whether you use AI Studio or Vertex AI. Chinese providers like DeepSeek and Moonshot have their own dashboards with different navigation patterns.
I built Get Model Key to solve this problem once and for all — a single directory that links directly to every provider's official API key page, with guides built from primary documentation and hands-on experience where model access is available.
New and updated guides show their verification status. "Hands-on tested" means I ran API requests myself. "Official sources checked" means the facts were verified against the cited provider documentation, but the model was not independently called by Get Model Key. I do not present documentation research as an API test.
Our Editorial Process
We start with primary provider documentation and cite sources and check dates. When model access is available, we run API requests and label the guide as hands-on tested. When independent access is unavailable, new and updated guides are labeled as official-sources checked and state that limitation. Guides are revised when providers change their APIs, pricing, or dashboards.
